Game title: Puzzle Bobble
Game description: The objective of the game is to clear all the bubbles from the arena without any bubble crossing the bottom line. Use your pointer device at the bottom to aim and shoot bubbles up the screen. When your bubble touches identically-colored bubbles to form a group of three or more then those bubbles (as well as any bubbles hanging from them) are removed from the field of play. After every few shots, the "ceiling" of the playing arena drops downwards slightly, along with all the bubbles stuck to it. Once you clear the bubbles then you move onto the next round. The single player game consists of 32 rounds in total. A number of 2 player modes is included.

Summary
There is no way any fan of the Puzzle Bobble/Bust-a-Move franchise will be disappointed with this C64 adaptation. Puzzle Bobble for the C64 is very well executed if not a near perfect conversion. Great graphics and animations plus an enormous range of recreated in game music and sound effects highlight that this is no rushed effort and that a lot of passion has been invested into the project. All this would count for little if the game play didn’t match the production but luckily the game plays very well indeed with bubbles feeling like they have the right amount of weight to them and every level accurately represented. Throw in the multiple 2 player modes and what you have here is ever-lasting fun that will have you returning time after time.
