Game description: Fish Tycoon is a slow-paced simulation game where you’ll need to manage your fuel, bait, and fishing line supplies as you travel across lakes, rivers, and open seas in search of the perfect catch. Presented using PETSCII graphics, this turn-based fishing sim uses virtual dice-driven outcomes to determine the success of your catches. If the result is equal or higher than the fish’s strength, you catch it. If the roll is lower, the tension on the line increases. If the tension exceeds the limit, your line may break and the fish escapes! Go back to port to sell the fish you catch to increase your funds and do it all over again and again until you run out of essential supplies.

Summary
Fish Tycoon offers charming nostalgic production values with its excellent use of PESTCII graphic style. I enjoy this style of casual simulation games but as you start playing Fish Tycoon you realise that it does not have enough going for it to hold your interest long enough. There is not enough variation in what you can do, there is a bit of lag to the menu navigation and perhaps additional ‘fishing worlds’ would go along way to encourage you to play this more than once.
