Game description: Portal Buster is a fast-paced bidirectional horizontal shooter. You battle your way through a gigantic 32k pixel-wide level to find and destroy the end boss. You need to pick up fuel barrels to keep your spaceship afloat. If you activate both sides of a colour-coded portal, you can reap the benefits of hyperspace and travel instantaneously. Doors require buttons to be pressed. The game provide infinite continues, nine levels of weapon power-up, built-in trainer modes, portals and respawn points.

Summary
Technically the game is impressive. It looks nice and runs quite smoothly. The controls are super responsive and you can tell the game has been put together by someone who knows their craft.
But I can’t help but feel that the game could be a lot more with a bit more consideration to its overall game design as it does feel a little shallow, leading to ask yourself as to whether you would play it for more than one session.
In its default state, the game is simply too fiddly to play as the mix of speed and tight spaces sucks a lot of the fun from the game. Built in trainers to slow the game down help a little but then only reveals that level design takes a back seat to technical accomplishments.
