Game description: Huestack is a C64 translation of the water colour sort puzzle game that is popular on mobile devices. Your objective is to sort balls by colour within test tubes. A coloured ball may only be moved to another test tube if it is empty or has another ball of the same colour on top of it. Huestack is a keyboard only game where you press the key above a corresponding test tube in order to pull a ball out and place it in another tube. The game contains 33 levels in total and features progressive save function.

Summary
Huestack is a good interpretation of the water colour stacking game that has found recent popularity on mobile phone application platforms. The developer made a wise choice to implement the game so that it is keyboard control otherwise playing this game with a joystick would have been somewhat sluggish. The in game SID soundtrack helps keep things interesting otherwise the overall presentation is quite bland. I find this type of puzzle game to be fun at first but quickly ends up feeling repetitive and Huestack is no different in this respect – the game just does not feel like it has any progressive elements to it and as such it feels like you are just playing 33 variation of the same level.
